Pre-Race Day

After our warm-up ride in Knysna, Carrie arrived at 3am via the connecting bus from Capetown. The gal got braids done in Capetown while she waited for the bus so that she can beat the heat. Carrie and I took our own warm-up ride – and I felt awful due to what felt like a strain in my lower back. Dern – I couldn’t even account for why such a lame ailment has cropped up at this time. I could ride – but with no power (and no comfort). Carrie looked all set despite having spent most of the last three days traveling.

Pre Race Briefing
